Amazon touts Dylan tune

Harry Dean Stanton stars in a new music video for a previously unreleased Bob Dylan song, “Dreamin’ of You,” streaming exclusively at Amazon.com in anticipation of the release next month of “Tell Tale Signs: The Bootleg Series, Vol. 8.”
Blurring the line between commerce and art, the sepia-toned video follows Stanton at multiple stops on what appears to be a cross-country search through Dylan archival material, echoing the song’s atmospheric quest for someone or something that seems just out of his reach. An analysis posted at Dylan’s website, www.bobdylan.com, notes the lyric similarities, and some key differences, with the 1997 song “Standing in the Doorway” from his “Time Out of Mind” album.
It ends with Stanton completing assembly of the latest entry in the “Bootleg Series,” which will be released Oct. 7. Amazon is carrying the video as part of 10th anniversary of the website’s Music Store.
