Dennis Lim’s piece on the new DVD of “Last Year at Marienbad” (“Enigma, Thy Name Is Marienbad,” June 21) mentions its influence on art cinema, but he failed to mention its more general influence. It is the model for every perfume commercial since the film’s 1961 release.
