Minnesota at Detroit, ppd, rain: The opener of a four-game series between the AL Central-leading Tigers and second-place Twins was rained out and will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader today.
Chicago 6, at Cleveland 1: John Danks got his first win in more than a month. Gordon Beckham had three RBIs.
at Tampa Bay 7, Baltimore 6: Pat Burrell’s sacrifice fly broke a tie in the eighth inning and the Rays extended the Orioles’ losing streak to 11 games.
at Angels 11, Texas 0: The Angels clinched the AL West.
