Update: The last time these teams met was Nov. 13, when Atlanta defeated the visiting Kings, 7-0, marking their worst shutout loss since 1985. Atlanta hasn’t played at Staples Center since Feb. 16, 2009, winning in a shootout, 7-6. Atlanta goalie Ondrej Pavelec was released from the hospital Sunday after collapsing on the ice in the team’s season opener Friday night. All tests were normal and the cause of the incident remains unknown. Pavelec was placed on injured reserve, and goalie Drew MacIntyre was called up from the team’s AHL affiliate in Chicago. The Kings have lost their last three home openers.
