Travel deal: An article in the Sept. 19 Travel section about an autumn hotel package gave an incomplete phone number for Aramark Olympic Peninsula, which manages the four lodges offering the deal. The correct number is (866) 297-7367.
Ronald P. Schafer obituary: The obituary in the Sept. 20 LATExtra section of Ronald P. Schafer, who was superintendent of the state parks’ Angeles District, said he was credited with strengthening the state parks’ relationship with the National Park Service in the Santa Monica National Recreation area and the Santa Monica Conservancy. The article should have said the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, whose board he had chaired since 2008.
