The news is out that Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson pocketed a villa in Coral Gables, Fla., earlier this year for $8.1 million.
The property, set near the water about 8 miles from Miami, was sold by Eric Malka, the co-founder and chief executive of the Art of Shaving.
The home, designed by architect Chad Oppenheim, includes a library, seven bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. The 8,314 square feet of elegant interiors have a European flair.
A saltwater swimming pool sits at the heart of the 1.71-acre grounds. Access to tennis courts and a private boat mooring are among other amenities.
Macpherson, 54, got her big break in the early 1980s modeling for Elle magazine. She has appeared on five covers for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Her big screen debut was in the 1994 film “Sirens,” starring Hugh Grant.
Engel & Völkers Residential Property Shop Miami Coral Gables brokered the transaction.
