Gold Standard: Live chat with ‘Mad Men’s’ Jessica Pare
- Share via
Last we saw Jessica Pare’s Megan Draper, she was hanging up the phone with Don, their roller coaster marriage apparently kaput, and staring out into the Laurel Canyon distance, probably wondering whether she could throw together another righteous party with her Hollywood friends that night.
Is it really over? Pare will be joining us at The Times’ TV stage on Thursday at noon PDT to talk about the midseason finale to “Mad Men’s” final season (the show will air its last seven episodes next spring) and whether creator Matthew Weiner has told her anything about Megan’s future. Will “Mad Men” occasionally check in with Megan? We’d like to at least know that she’s handling the auditioning process better and, of course, keep up on her forward-thinking sense of fashion. Is that too much to ask?
We’ll also ask Pare her thoughts about Don and Megan’s bicoastal marriage and whether she ever held out hope that those two crazy kids might just make it after all. Then again, can any woman survive prolonged exposure to Don? The Megan who initiated that awkward threesome this season sure seems a long way from the fresh-faced girl Don took to Disneyland just a couple of years ago.
So we’ll talk about all that and ask your questions too. If you have something you’d like us to pass along, tweet it to us using the hashtag #asklatimes. See you Thursday.
