It's Halloween and the celebrities are out in full force! While many people look to the stars for Halloween costume inspiration, quite a few celebs look to run-of-the mill objects for their elaborate get-ups — with the exception of Ellen DeGeneres or one of the rest of the bevy of celebrities who pulled costumes straight from this year's headlines. (We're looking at you, George Clooney and Amal!)
Here's a roundup of this year's star-studded creations, being updated as they roll in.
"The Big Bang Theory's" Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, right, and husband Ryan Sweeting, left, reverse genders as Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.
"Game of Thrones" actress Maisie Williams is a cat. We'll just go on thinking it's a tease to Arya Stark's Cat of the Canals
"The Voice" and Maroon 5's Adam Levine and his wife, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, give a nod to rocker Tommy Lee and actress Heather Locklear.
Model Cara Delevingne and "Kardashians" star Kendall Jenner one-up Mario and Luigi.
Rapper Nicki Minaj as a "teacher's pet."
"Mean Girls" star Lindsay Lohan vamps things up.
"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" stars Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick as a cat and some sheikhs.
Khloe's pregnant sister Kourtney Kardashian as a cat, carrying daughter Penelope (another skunk!) and posing with son Mason as Darth Vader.
"The Vampire Diaries" actress Candice Accola and new hubby Joe King of the Fray cover June Carter and Johnny Cash.
Musician Joe Jonas brandishes his best blue steel as Derek Zoolander.
Britney Spears throws back to her school girl days with her family.
Singer Pink and the haunted Harts.
Miley Cyrus, right, goes glam as godmother Dolly Parton.
Singer Demi Lovato as Lucille Ball, Jennifer Lopez as the Devil and Iggy Azalea as a character from "White Chicks," which is surprising given the actress' recent kerfuffle with rapper Snoop Dogg.
Country star Miranda Lambert can do it as Rosie the Riveter.
"American Idol" alum Adam Lambert howls at the moon as a werewolf.
"Fashion Police" host Kelly Osbourne dresses down as Gwyneth Paltrow's Margot Tenenbaum.
"Gotham" star Ben McKenzie flashes forward as an aged Commissioner Gordon.
"Cougar Town's" Courteney Cox is a frightening zombie bride.
Model Amber Rose is crowned the freakiest pageant queen.
Model Gisele Bundchen and husband Tom Brady's family get a full-scale makeover as a brood of dragons.
"Glee" star Lea Michele takes a walk as a sexy Little Red Riding Hood.
"How I Met Your Mother's" Alyson Hannigan as robo-frog.
"How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris, husband David Burtka and twins Gideon and Harper pay Gotham City a visit.
Kim Kardashian and the Kardashian clan get skeletal.
Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter North West as a skunk.
The reality star also got into the spooky sartorial spirit with costumes inspired by Vogue magazine's staff and darlings: creative director Grace Coddington, Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, editrix Anna Wintour and former editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley.
"Scrubs" alum Donald Faison and wife Cacee Cobb re-enact "King Kong."
"Modern Family" actress Sarah Hyland proudly throws together an Annie costume using items she already owns.
Hyland gives it another go with "True Grit" alum Hailee Steinfeld as actress Edie Sedgwick and YouTube star Miranda Sings.
Model and "Project Runway" host Heidi Klum wows again as a huge bug -- er, butterfly. In the past, the model has gone all out for the holiday dressing up as an anatomy in motion costume and as highly aged version of herself for her star-studded bash. More on that here.
A very pregnant Hayden Panettiere is a leopard in repose.
Actress Jessica Alba and a pal dress up as rockers Slash and Axl Rose of Guns N' Roses.
Singer Lily Allen as a creepy gnome.
"Arrow" star Colton Haynes as Fiona from "Shrek."
Singer Taylor Swift manifests as a pegasus and unicorn hybrid: the Pegacorn.
Katy Perry as a Flamin' Hot Cheeto snack.
"The Voice" coach Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale as vampires for Kate Hudson's Halloween bash on Thursday.
The cast of the "Today" show as moms in "mom jeans," including Meredith Vieira, a surprise appearance from Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager.
Actress Kate Hudson and her pals as the "Mothers of Anarchy" for her Halloween party on Thursday.
Queen Latifah as queen of the Moors, Maleficent, and her guest Leah Remini as Sleeping Beauty.
"Live!" host Kelly Ripa gets a blood-spattered makeover.
Ripa's co-host Michael Strahan as a dancing zombie.
Ripa, Strahan and Co. seem to love Halloween and dress up as inmates from "Orange Is the New Black" -- a fact that tickled the Netflix show's star Taylor Schilling.
"Scandal" star Katie Lowes as a Tooth Fairy.
Lowes and costar Guillermo Diaz appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show, where they got a scare from the host, who was dressed up as George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's People magazine cover.
Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Amrosio as a Snow Leopard.
Nicole Richie and her kids with rocker Joel Madden channel "101 Dalmations" as Cruella DeVil and her coveted furballs.
"Brooklyn 99's" Terry Crews and "Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts give Jay Z and Beyonce's "On the Run Tour" looks a run for their money.
Beyonce gives the pop music legion thrill when she gets a Janet Jackson-style makeover and poses with Blue Ivy as Michael Jackson.
Bey also shared this snapshot of two babies dressed up as the power couple during their visit to the Louvre.
Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima & Co. as a mer-family.
"The Real" host Tamera Mowry as an astronaut.
Ross Mathews, Marie Menounos and their E! News family dressed as the cast of "Saved By the Bell."
This could be Justin Bieber as the Red Power Ranger.
"Dancing With the Stars" judge Julianne Hough and a friend dress up as Austin Powers and Felicity Shagwell. It's a far cry from Hough's blackface Crazy Eyes costume from last year.
"Anger Management" star Selma Blair as Waldo of the "Where's Waldo?" books and her son Arthur Saint as a ninja.
Pregnant actress Liv Tyler gets cheeky, giving a nod to the bun in her over.
This post will be updated as more photos pop up on social media.
