Hasbro Studios has announced via Hero Complex that a second season of the cartoon series “Transformers: Robots in Disguise” is on the way.
Bumblebee and the whole transforming-robot team -- including Sideswipe, Windblade and Drift -- will return on the Cartoon Network, rapidly twisting and spinning from robot aliens into cars and planes for your child’s enjoyment.
For those of you unfamiliar with the cartoon series starring the aliens who go “phrum phrum phrum” and then turn into a vehicle (be it truck or helicopter) the series is set years after “Transformers: Prime.”
According to a news release from Hasbro Studios, the show will star the live-action, movie-favorite character Bumblebee Autobot, who has been drafted by Optimus Prime save the Earth from a collection of escaped Decepticon prisoners. Bumblebee’s new team (Team Bee) is made up of Grimlock, Sideswipe, Strongarm, Fixit, Windblade and Drift.
The new series will “roll out” (get it, you get it) sometime in the first quarter of 2016.
