Time Scanners As the new miniseries that uses modern technology to examine ancient locations visits the Colosseum in Rome. 10 p.m. KOCE and KPBS
The Magicians Syfy offers a preview of a the new fantasy series (premiering in January). Adapted from a novel of the same name by Lev Grossman, the series is set at Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy. Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Hale Appleman, Arjun Gupta, Summer Bishil and Olivia Taylor Dudley also star. 10 p.m. Syfy
