After a nearly 10-year hiatus, the Museum of Flying has reopened at Santa Monica Airport. About two dozen flying machines are on display in a new 22,000-square-foot facility, which also features exhibits on Southern California companies that helped propel the region’s once-robust aviation and aerospace industry. After the opening ceremony, visitors wait in line to enter the museum at 3100 Airport Ave. in Santa Monica. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.
