Joshua Walker, 29, and Brihana Nelson, 26, met in college in the summer of 2005, when both were attending San Diego State University.

“I was renting a room in a large house with one of her friends,” Walker said. “Bri was coming over a lot and we started dating. From the start of our relationship we were inseparable.”

Walker said he knew Nelson was the one when he started to think about living without her.
“The thought was too unsettling. I knew she was the one for sure,” he said.
Nelson felt the same way.

“We have the same taste in TV and movies, and we both enjoy sports … it was easy to know it was meant to be, we were able to share our whole lives together, it’s hard not to know when you’re with your best friend.”
It took another six years of dating and a move to Burbank before Walker proposed on a snowy weekend trip to Lake Arrowhead in February 2011. The two were married in a Leap Day (Feb 29) 2012 wedding at Calamigos at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. About 100 guests attended.

“It was beautiful and intimate, very fun. Our colors were purple and grey. We had pashminas and scarves on the guest seats for favors since it was an outdoor ceremony in winter,” Nelson said.
