Home rental program: An article in the May 26 Business section about a Bank of America program that allows some property owners to rent their homes rather than be evicted through foreclosure said a Fannie Mae “deed-for-lease” program enables occupants of foreclosed homes to remain as renters. The program allows distressed homeowners to become renters before their homes are foreclosed upon.
Beach water quality: A map that accompanied an article in the May 25 LATExtra section about water quality at Southern California beaches showed Escondido Beach in two locations: in Malibu and near the L.A.-Orange County border. Escondido Beach is in Malibu.
Classic Hollywood: In the May 28 Calendar section, the Classic Hollywood column about memorable war films referred to Bataan as an island in the Philippines. Bataan is a peninsula.
“Canada” review: A review in the May 27 Arts & Books section of author Richard Ford’s novel “Canada” referred to the book’s main character as Dale. The name is Dell.
