Four people were shot and one of them was killed early Sunday in a restaurant parking lot in Long Beach, police said.
The shooting occurred shortly before 3 a.m. in the parking lot at 6th Street and Long Beach Boulevard, said Marlene Arrona, a spokeswoman for the Long Beach Police Department.
Responding officers found the four adult victims at the scene, including the one who died, officials said. The three injured were transported to local hospitals, where they were listed in stable condition.
Homicide detectives fanned out across the neighborhood where the shooting occurred to search for suspects. Several area streets were closed.
Detectives are investigating what may be a gang-related incident, Arrona said.
The shooting occurred in a Denny’s restaurant parking lot, according to a news videographer at the scene.
