Northern California copes, tweets, posts amid heavy storm
Rain flooded streets with Thursday's storm in Northern California as high winds downed trees, and power went out for thousands.
Forecasters say the storm, which has an "atmospheric river" known as the Pineapple Express that can be up to 400 miles wide, is one of the most powerful to hit California in years.
