Two people stabbed in Pasadena early Monday have died in the hospital, and a third person also found injured is suspected of carrying out the attack, police said.
The stabbing was reported about 6:20 a.m. in the 200 block of North Madison Avenue. Officers who arrived at the scene found a man and woman both suffering from stab wounds, said Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson.
The pair were rushed to the hospital, where they both succumbed to their wounds, said Lt. Tracey Ibarra.
A third man who was found bloodied and injured near the scene of the stabbing is now suspected of carrying out the attack and is in police custody, Ibarra said.
None of their identities was immediately released.
Although a possible motive for the stabbing was not released, police said the man was somehow related to the couple.
Prior to Monday, 10 people had been stabbed to death in Pasadena since 2000, according to The Times’ Homicide Report database.
