Clippers have successful trip, return home to face Philadelphia
- Share via
The Clippers just finished playing five consecutive road games, and they won all of them.
One of those “away” games was at Staples Center on Christmas Day, when the Lakers hosted the Clippers as the designated home team in the arena that both teams share.
The winning series is the first time in franchise history the Clippers have finished a road trip 5-0. And perhaps the most impressive thing about the streak was that the Clippers won four of the games without All-Star forward Blake Griffin, who is out indefinitely with a partially torn left quad tendon.
The Clippers return home Saturday at the Staples Center to face the 3-31 Philadelphia 76ers, the team with the worst record in the NBA.

Still, after being on the road for a week, the Clippers don’t want to take the 76ers for granted. Philadelphia has won two of their past three games, all on the road.
