Baseball: 16-team field is set for Boras Classic

The 16 baseball teams have been finalized to participate in the Boras Classic March 29 through April 1 at Mater Dei and JSerra.
They will compete to be the Southern California champion and face the winner of the 16-team Northern California bracket on May 7 at a site to be determined.
The 16 teams set to compete in Southern California include the likely top two teams in Southern California, defending Southern Section Division 1 champion Huntington Beach and JSerra, which won the Trinity League last season.
The other teams entered are Mater Dei, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, Orange Lutheran, Corona Santiago, Riverside North, South Hills, El Camino Real, Vista Murrieta, Loyola, Mira Costa, Great Oak, Chaminade, Damien and Carlsbad La Costa Canyon.
