Baseball: Former Simi Valley standout Mike Hankins is new coach at William Jessup

Mike Hankins, who was a standout baseball player at Simi Valley High in the 1980s and went on to UCLA and played in the minor leagues, is the first head coach at William Jessup University in Rocklin. The school will launch its first season of baseball next spring as an NAIA school and will play in the Golden State Athletic Conference.
Hankins is actively recruiting in the Southern California area.
The Hankins family was prominent at Simi Valley. Brother Ryan was also a standout for the Pioneers.
