Football: CJ Sanders vs. Michael Pittman
It was quite a matchup on Friday night between Sherman Oaks Notre Dame and Oaks Christian. Notre Dame prevailed, 37-31, and what people might remember most in the years to come will be seeing two future receiving stars putting on a show.
Notre Dame’s CJ Sanders, a senior committed to Notre Dame, had nine receptions for 133 yards. Oaks Christian’s Michael Pittman, a junior who committed to UCLA on Saturday, caught eight passes for 119 yards.
Both will be playing college football and maybe even on Sundays.
Junior running back Leo Lambert III had 163 yards rushing for Notre Dame and quarterback Cole Klayman rushed for two TDs and passed for one among his 208 yards passing.
Freshman QB Matt Corral wasn’t too bad himself for Oaks Christian, passing for 174 yards and one touchdown.
