Nike Extravaganza: Mater Dei is 23-0 after 69-57 victory

The ninth and final game of the Nike Extravaganza didn’t get started until 10:13 p.m. on Saturday. But it was worth the wait to see All-American Stanley Johnson, who scored 27 points and helped Mater Dei improve to 23-0 with a 69-57 victory over Chicago Whitney Young.
Rex Pflueger added 16 points. The Monarchs, after holding a four-point halftime lead, pulled away in the third quarter.
Miles Reynolds scored 21 points for Whitney Young (15-5) and Jahlil Okafor finished with 17 points.
