Eagle Rock wins City Section Division II championship

Eagle Rock won the City Section Division II boys’ basketball championship on Friday night, knocking off Granada Hills Kennedy 56-52 in overtime before a packed gym at Birmingham.
Mitchell Gravino finished with 16 points to lead Eagle Rock (25-4). Sophomore Walter Dumas scored 17 points for Kennedy.
In the Division II girls’ final, Van Nuys defeated Dorsey 43-29.
