Update: January has not been kind to the Stars. Dallas led the Central Division by 10 points on Jan. 2. Now? The Stars have dropped to second in the Central Division, three points behind the surging Chicago Blackhawks. Dallas is 3-5-2 in its last 10 games. The Stars on Monday recalled defenseman Esa Lindell from their minor league affiliate, the Texas Stars, because defenseman Jordie Benn was placed on injured reserve. Lindell, a third-round draft pick in 2012, could make his NHL debut against the Kings. Anze Kopitar was named the league’s third star of the week behind Chicago forward Patrick Kane and Calgary forward Sam Bennett. The Kings center had seven points in his last three games. Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick has lost just once in regulation in his last 10 appearances.
