Timberwolves’ Kevin Love won’t play again this season

The Minnesota Timberwolves have nothing to gain this season, but plenty to lose. That’s why they will not let their franchise forward, Kevin Love, return for the final two games despite the fact he has passed all concussion tests and been cleared by the NBA to return to the court.
Love has been out since suffering a concussion and a strained neck during the April 11 game against Denver when Nuggets center Javale McGee accidentally elbowed him in the head while going up for a jumper.
“It’s just best .... not to push it,” Coach Rick Adelman told the Associated Press.
Adelman said Timberwolves coaches and doctors made the decision jointly.
“We’ll just go with the guys we have and hope we can get a couple of wins,” he said.
Love is averaging 26 points (fourth in the league) and 13.3 rebounds (second) per game.
