Reporting from Dallas -- Ramon Sessions has 12 points and seven assists as the Lakers lead Dallas at halftime, 57-44, Wednesday at American Airlines Center.
Sessions didn’t start the game but appeared to be only a matter of time -- or maybe one game -- before he overtook Steve Blake.
Kobe Bryant has 15 points and Pau Gasol has 12 points for the Lakers (28-18), who are trying to forget their late collapse Tuesday in Houston.
They’re also trying to improve an ugly 9-15 road record.
The Mavericks (27-20) were without two starters -- forward Shawn Marion and center Brendan Haywood were both sidelined by minor knee injuries.
Jason Terry has 12 points and Dirk Nowitzki has 10 for Dallas.
The Lakers are 2-0 against the Mavericks this season.
