If your Vegas lament is “So many bars, so little time,” travel website Vegas.com has created a bar crawl featuring 10 unique places to grab a drink along the Strip.
Some of the listings may be new, even to Vegas veterans. Here’s a sampling:
Carnaval Court at Harrah’s Las Vegas: This Strip-side bar is a good place to grab a cocktail and a great place to watch the sea of humanity along the nearby sidewalks. The bartenders provide their own show.
Parasol Down at Wynn Las Vegas: Tucked away inside one of the posher resorts, this two-level lounge overlooks Steve Wynn’s Lake of Dreams. The 3-acre lake has its own waterfall, a pine-topped “mountain” and, after dark, colorful light shows often overlooked by the hordes outside Bellagio.
Air Bar at the Stratosphere: The super-speed elevators whisk you 800 feet above Las Vegas Boulevard to the city’s highest-perched bar, from which the views are spectacular. Jet Fuel – a powerful mix of Midori, Bacardi 151, amaretto, triple sec and peach schnapps, with some orange juice – comes in a souvenir glass.
The Bourbon Room at the Venetian: This is one of the Strip’s newer drinking emporiums and is inspired by the hotel’s signature show “Rock of Ages.” Expect a soundtrack featuring classic rockers such as AC/DC, Billy Idol and Poison. It features an extensive offering of bourbons.
The Bar at Times Square at New York-New York. Live entertainment is a staple of this establishment, which features dueling pianos 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
Vegas.com maintains comprehensive listings for more than 100 Las Vegas bars on its website.
