On Assignment’s Earnings Rise 37% in 4th Quarter

On Assignment Inc. posted a 37% rise in earnings in its fourth quarter, on a 22% rise in revenue.
The Calabasas-based company had net income of $1.8 million in the quarter, up from $1.3 million a year earlier. Sales in the latest quarter rose to $24.6 million, up from $20.1 million previously.
On Assignment provides temporary workers to scientific, environmental and health-care industries. It has 82 branches across the U.S.
For the full year that ended Dec. 31, On Assignment’s net income rose 29% to $5.6 million, up from $4.3 million in 1995. Revenue last year rose 21% to $88.2 million, compared to $72.6 million the year before.
