International Fest Features Food, Music

Local performers and artisans will be displaying their talents at the International Food and Entertainment Festival in Camarillo on Saturday.
The Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District and Blue Cross of California will be hosting the sixth annual event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Camarillo Community Center on the corner of Burnley and Carmen streets. “The festival will be a celebration of food, music, crafts, dance and cultural displays from a variety of countries and ethnic groups,” said Rick Fields, recreation supervisor.
The entertainment schedule is as follows:
10 a.m.--Camarillo Private School Band
10:30 a.m.--Jewels of the Nile Dance Troupe
11 a.m.--Scottish Country Dancers
11:30 a.m.--Conejo Valley Cloggers
Noon--Mariachi Juvenil Azteca de Camarillo
12:30 p.m.--Devoike
1 p.m.--Swing Dance (M. Comeau)
1:30 p.m.--Ballet Folcolorico Mixteca
2 p.m.--Country in Motion
2:30 p.m.--Shamsa
3 p.m.--Claddagh School of Irish Dance
3:30 p.m.--Na Hoaloha O Polynesia
Michael Portaro, also known as the “Lone Drummer,” will be playing throughout the day in the front patio.
