The City Council accepted a $75,000 settlement this week for six light standards it had installed at Saddleback College for the minor league Vigilantes baseball team. The Vigilantes played for two seasons at the college. Deep in debt, team owners abandoned the franchise last year after city and college officials couldn’t agree on permanent improvements for the college stadium. Information: (949) 470-3000.
